Project Description:
Renovation
The state-of-the-art renovations to the North Engineering building on the University of Toledo campus promote learning, gathering, and collaboration.
The space, formerly used as Owens-Illinois’s pilot production facility, was unfinished and not being utilized. To meet the educational and research needs of students, the University of Toledo wanted to expand the second floor space to include:
- 15 classrooms
- 8 research labs
- 3 bioengineering instructional labs
- 1 computer instructional lab
- A revolutionary space for the Formula SAE Race Team, complete with 3D printers, laser cutters, and power tools
The Lakeside team completed many projects including mild steel framing, drywall, acoustic panels, wall wallcoverings/murals, stained woodwork, painted railings, and ceiling applications.
The renovated building is now a showcase for current and potential students. Lakeside is proud to have contributed to a secondary education facility that will help advance skills and learning in Northwest Ohio.
