It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of one our founding partners and dearest friend, Al Hayes.
In 1989, Al, along with Dick Dailey, Dave Smith and Andy Anderzack, saw an opportunity to start their own interior contracting business, establishing Lakeside Interior Contractors. Together, they grew the business into a community asset. Without his leadership and larger-than-life personality, Lakeside would not be what it is today.
Al held many roles during his time as one of Lakeside’s owners. In addition to estimating and project management, Al also oversaw the labor force and project superintendents.
Like father, like son, Al’s son, Randy Hayes, started as a union carpenter and transitioned into an administrative position and an integral part of Lakeside’s success, currently holding the position of safety director.
