January 19, 2021, Perrysburg, Ohio: The Lakeside ownership team is pleased to welcome John Broadway as their newest partner. John was chosen to succeed Brian Fogel who retired from Lakeside in December 2019.
John has been an Estimator/Project Manager with Lakeside since 2010. Through the years, John has been tirelessly committed to exceeding customer’s expectations and is dedicated to completing project details to the exact specifications. He specializes in drywall, ceilings, and metal studs and excels at leading larger projects. John has been an integral part of the Rossford High School, ProMedica Steam Plant, Cedar Point Sports Center, Wood County Senior Center, Calvary Church, Firelands Sandusky Healthcare Center, and Toledo Area Humane Society buildings and projects.
John started his construction career immediately after high school with Skillcraft Systems. As their Estimator/Project Manager, he learned the complexities of construction management, from coordinating materials and labor to meeting project timelines and budgets. Being a diligent student of the industry, he quickly grew his skills and expertise so when Skillcraft Systems closed their doors in 2010, Lakeside recognized John’s great potential and immediately hired him.
“The first time we met, I realized John had the skills, personality, and integrity that lined up with Lakeside’s focus. From his early days, we knew John was on track to be a part of our leadership team, and we are thrilled to finally name him as an owner and partner,” states Mike Mayo, Lakeside President.
“I am excited to take on a larger responsibility and continue growing Lakeside’s reputation for being the preferred contractor for interior and exterior projects in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan,” says Mr. Broadway.
John is a native of Northwest Ohio and currently lives in Perrysburg with his wife and their four children. With four kids involved in sports and activities, John spends the majority of his free time at their events, cheering proudly.
