With a commitment to meet and exceed OSHA requirements, Lakeside team members just completed their annual OSHA 4-hour Refresher. The refresher course was led by our Safety Director, Randy Hayes and Greg Burkhart, Safety Director for AGC of NW Ohio.
We discussed a variety of safety topics including PPE and the new 360-degree protective hardhat that has a chin strap and protects the whole head. The benefits of the 360-degree hardhat include protection from falling objects, chemical splashes, and weather elements without affecting visibility. Randy passed out several of the new 360-degree protective hardhats and explained how it lowers the risk of injury because of the side impact safety and chin strap.
Randy also shared EEO metrics from 2022; employee fall protection equipment was inspected; and Greg reviewed fire safety, fall protection, and hazard communication; and discussed the top 10 OSHA violations. To learn more about Lakeside safety, visit our safety page.
