ProMedica, one of the Toledo Region’s largest healthcare systems has concluded its administrative migration and consolidation in downtown Toledo and the praise for the non-profit company and its achievement has been positioned as being gutsy, forward thinking and spectacular. It is also being hailed as another key catalyst in the ongoing redevelopment of downtown.
Lakeside Interior Contractors is a proud member of the highly collaborative team of contractors brought on board for this important and highly visible community project. According to Matt Homier, VP at Lakeside, “This project got on our radar right away. We just knew we had to be a part of it at some level and were extremely happy with the critical and challenging work we were awarded. From new construction to renovation to historical rehabilitation, Lakeside Interior Contractors finished our assignments on time and on budget and the results, we think, are stunning.”
The overall project, valued at over $62 million, included the historical renovation of what was recognized as an imposing riverside steam plant, the rehabilitation of a four-story wedge shaped former Key Bank building and the construction of a new multi-level, mixed use parking garage. All were designed in a sensitive manner with river views and the continued use of downtown’s prominent Promenade Park taken very seriously.
Mr. Homier commented, “It was clear from the beginning that the ProMedica people really wanted this to be a showcase project regarding their commitment to the city and people of Toledo and the surrounding area. They truly came up with some unique concepts for how they wanted to fit in and be perceived and this new campus is testament to their creativity and drive to succeed.”
