The Safety Council of Northwest Ohio recently announced the 85th Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) class and Lakeside Project Manager, Adam Michalski, was one of the certified, graduating members.
Adam was one of eight individuals who participated in the 40-hour training from January 30 – Feb 3, 2023. To earn the professional designation of COSS, Adam had to deliver a safety presentation and pass both daily quizzes and a final exam.
COSS is a training program designed to equip employees who have safety and health responsibilities. Safety is the number one priority at Lakeside, and Adam will be sharing all the latest COSS skills and techniques he learned to enhance our established safety program.
The curriculum-based certification is designed for both entry level and experienced safety personnel. The core competencies of COSS are led by an OSHA 500 and 501 qualified safety instructor and are enforced with hands-on learning activities and case studies. Graduates walk away with practical and effective safety and occupational health knowledge and skills. To learn more about COSS, visit their website.
